  • Personal Identification: Name, email address, and profile photo (sourced via Firebase/Google Auth).
  • Interaction Data: Chat messages, task titles, reminder times, and task completion status.
  • Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers for Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

2. Deep Dive: Sensitive Permissions

Remindo requires specific system-level permissions to function as a reliable real-time reminder tool. We only use these for their intended purposes:

A. Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM):
Remindo is a time-critical app. We use this permission to ensure that reminders trigger precisely at the user-defined time, bypassing system-imposed battery delays for standard alarms.
B. Battery Optimization (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS):
To receive tasks from other users in real-time, the app must maintain a background connection. This permission prevents the system from hibernating the app's sync engine.
C. Full-Screen Intent & Notifications:
Critical for high-priority "Force" tasks that require immediate attention even when the device is locked or in use by another app.

3. Data Storage and Security

We use Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication) to store your data. This ensures:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS and at rest on Google's secure servers.
  • Access Control: Only you and your authorized chat partners can access shared tasks and messages.
  • Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request data deletion at any time.

4. Your Data Rights (GDPR/CCPA Compliance)

Regardless of your location, Remindo provides the following rights to all users:

  • Right to Access: You can see all your data within the app interface.
  • Right to Rectification: You can update your profile and tasks at any time.
  • Right to Erasure: You can request to delete your account and all associated data through the app settings or by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
